HCF is paying your Gap at King Street Private Hospital for Joint Replacement Surgery, which allows eligible HCF members to undergo primary hip or knee replacement surgery with no out-of-pocket costs with a participating orthopaedic surgeon.
This applies for agreed services provided during their hospital stay, except for the hospital excess which will apply if this is their first admission in the calendar year.
HCF member with hospital cover (excluding Overseas Visitors Health Cover) that includes hip and knee replacement and who has held that cover with HCF for at least 12 months, and who has served all applicable waiting periods.
Clinical suitability confirmed by a participating orthopaedic surgeon and by King Street Private.
Procedure performed at King Street Private.
The program covers only the agreed episode of care. Costs may apply for services outside the agreed scope, complications, or providers not participating in the program. HCF eligibility check is required prior to surgery. The program is available until 4th August 2026.
